Latvian companies and products represented in Germany

Although a lot of Latvians are living in Germany, it is still hard to tell who is doing what. Not all Latvians turn to the LIAA Representative Office in Berlin for help with their businesses. For example “Madara Cosmetics” (http://www.madara-cosmetics.com/) can be purchased at “Douglas” stores (http://www.douglas.de) throughout Germany. “Dogvan” (www.dovgan.de) is the largerst food stuff importer from Russia and the Baltic countries in Germany and sells Latvian fish canneries at several German food retailers, like for example “Edeka”. A lot of Ethnic Russian shops in Germany sell products from Latvian producers like “Laima” chocolate factory (www.laima.lv), “Latvijas Balzams” (www.balzams.lv), also cottage cheese bars, crab sticks, etc. are being sold. Wholesale store “Monolith gruppe” (www.monolith-gruppe.eu) is providing the stores with the Latvian products. The largest ethnic retail chain is “Mixmarkt” (www.mixmarkt.de) with outlets in almost all major German cities.
