Trade mission for Latvian food producers to Poland, March 21-23, 2011

From March 21-23, 2011, LIAA Representative in Poland is organizing a trade mission for Latvian food producers. The aim of the visit is to meet potential buyers in Poland. Participating companies are as follows:

  • Joint stock company "Rigas Dzirnavnieks" is one of the largest grain processing companies in the Baltic States. The company produces and sells grain products – all types of wheat and rye flour, flour mixes, flakes and other grain products for bakeries and confectioneries, as well as products in small packages for individual consumers. "Rigas Dzirnavnieks" deals with two strategic business sectors: producing industrial products and producing goods for retailers. www.rigas-dzirnavnieks.lv

  • “Vinnis Ltd” purchases and packs honey, produces various honey delicacies and garnishes and distributes products to stores and wholesale. Vinnis offers various types of packaging for the HoReCa segment and has its own honey cosmetic line. The company employs 7 people and it works in accordance with HACCP principles. www.vinnis.lv

  • “Māris&CO LTD” pastry production produces three types of products – cakes, buns and biscuits. Main specialization today is on biscuits. They are so called “home made” biscuits in an original packaging. In 1992 company Māris&Co was founded with opening a first food store. Three years later they expand their business and opened a bistro, which became popular among the Latvian population. After some time the company continued to develop their business opportunities and opened a pastry production to supply products for its own bistro as well as for grocery stores. www.marisco.lv 

  • “Lāči Ltd” specializes in producing natural rye bread, which is baked using rye flour, water, sugar, cumin and salt. That is what real rye bread is like. Made of natural ingredients and without synthetic additives or artificial enhancers. In addition they produce biscuits, seebuckthorn jellies and 3 types of jam. The Lāči Bakery was founded in 1993. Since then, Lāči has grown from a small family business to a stable and modern company that bakes only the highest quality rye bread and original pastry products. The company employs approximately 200 people, and every day six tons of bread are baked. www.laci.lv

  • “Staburadzes konditoreja Ltd” produces pastry products. For export they offer deep frozen products – cakes, tarts as well as sandwiches. Staburadzes konditoreja Ltd. belongs to Nordic Partners group. They are the leading and trend setting producer of confectionery and ready made meals in Latvia with strong trade marks like Staburadze and Pedro. Staburadze's name and brand are known in Latvia already since 1910, but Pedro products were first produced in 1995. www.staburadze.lv

  • “Livonija Ltd” produces various types of party drinks, based on natural quince juice. Naturally fermented birch juices. Alcoholic cocktails Alcopops. The company was established in 1997. In 2007  the new factory was build, which was constructed according to EU legislation and standards. Now the company uses the latest and modern technologies in the production process, which results in high quality products and can ensure a high production capacity. The company has successful experience in export and producing products under Private Labels as well. www.livonia.lv
