From February 24 until february 25 the Northern Netherlands Provinces cooperation framework will visit Latvia

From February 24 until February 25 the Northern Netherlands Provinces cooperation framework (Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland, abbreviated to SNN) will visit Latvia. The delegation will be lead by Mr. Max van den Berg, SNN chairman and the Queens Commissioner to Groningen province. The visit is organized in cooperation with North Netherlands Trade Chamber and The Embassy of Kingdom of the Netherlands in Latvia. SNN representatives will be accompanied by a number of Dutch companies that will have meetings with Latvian counterparts during their visit.

Priority sectors identified by SNN are Energy, Life Science, Agribusiness, Sensor technologies, Water technologies. The goal of this visit is to explore future cooperation possibilities between both countries in the aforementioned sectors. Special attention will be paid to Life Science; the SNN cluster Healthy Ageing Network - Northern Netherlands (HANNN) will be represented by Mr. Ko Henneman, who will be amongst the delegation members.

A meeting of the SNN delegation at LIAA is foreseen on the 25th of February. During this meeting the SNN delegation will meet representatives from Biomedcentrs, Latinnofood, Latvian Biotechnology Association, Biomass Association, SIA BF-Esse, SIA Bimil, the Agency under Agriculture Academy of Latvia “Agriculture Sciense Institue”.

SNN’s intention is to pay similar visits to all three Baltic states. A visit to Lithuania was already organised at the end of January, Estonia was visited from February 22 until February 23.
